I recently completed three new boxes. The bottoms of the boxes are all covered using the same technique in different colours The technique goes by different names the retro cane or the extruded cane. The process involves choosing and mixing colours that will work together, cut discs of clay, stack them together and put them into the clay extruder. Squeeze the clay out of the extruder and this great pattern is achieved.
All three boxes also have bright coloured interiors that will make you smile when the lids are removed.
